Visual Artist. Born in Tokyo. Graduated from Musashino Art University oil painting department majored in printmaking.
Ayaka Nakamura uses mostly hand-drawn images to create woodblocks, animation, music videos, picture books and painting. She is published in a book of “JAPANESE MOTION GRAPHIC CREATORS 2015” as an animator and director.
She is also active in Japan and overseas as a painter and woodcut painter, and has recently participated in many artist residency program and exhibitions overseas. She also joined Shun Art Gallery’s artist residency program in Shanghai in 2019.
